In this month’s edition of ‘Get to know the Secondsight team’, we spoke to Hope Clarke, a Client Experience Executive, who is the first point of contact for all client queries.

Hi Hope, tell us about your role at Secondsight?

I am a Client Experience Executive and have been at Secondsight for two and a half years, which have really flown by! In my role, I work with one of our Partners, Darren Laverty. I make sure all of Darren’s clients are looked after and their experience with Secondsight is the best it can be. Over the years, I have built some great relationships with the clients I look after. I’m lucky that I have such lovely individuals that I speak with daily.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?

I think the people I work closely with make the job so much more enjoyable, having a great team around you makes such a difference to your everyday tasks. I have really enjoyed the flexibility of working from home, however it’s been lovely to come back into the office recently and see some of my team.

What would you say is a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

During lockdown I won the Shining Star award for client service, in our internal staff recognition awards, Superstarrrs. Having the transition to working from home was difficult for me at first, but I felt over time I really adapted to it and after winning Superstarrrs I was happy to see that others noticed this too.

How do you like to spend a day off?

I usually go out for lunch with friends, followed by shopping – always!

Do you have anywhere on your must visit list?

Australia has always been high up on my list. I have lots of family over there and they’ve been begging me to visit for years. It’s such a beautiful place, however the snakes and spiders are what really puts me off going and I’m yet to be brave enough to go!

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

  • A good tanning oil
  • Hairbrush
  • Moisturiser
